Experience almost the entire lake in just 60 minutes! Discover the enchanting ‘Wild Cat Island,’ famously featured in the 1970s film ‘Swallows and Amazons’, see the secret harbour along the way.
You also have the option to drop off at Brantwood, the former home of John Ruskin, poet, artist and social reformer. Visit the house, garden, craft gallery and Brantwood Café.
Brantwood offers a fascinating insight into the world of John Ruskin and the last 28 years of his life spent in the Lakes. Filled with many fine paintings, beautiful furniture and Ruskin’s personal treasures, the house retains the character of its famous resident.
The Brantwood Café is situated in Brantwood’s former coach house the Terrace is a unique and friendly place to relax while you enjoy the breathtaking views over Coniston Water, from snow-dusted peaks to glorious summer days. Return times from Brantwood are 11.20, 12.10, 12.20, 1.20, 1.35, 2.30, 3.00, 3.35, 4.10 and 4.30.

- Nov 2024: Summer timetable until 3rd then each day 4-24 November plus 30th.
- Dec 2024: 1, 7, 8, 14, 15. For 28th-31st see website.
- Jan 2025: 4, 5, 11, 12, 18, 19, 25, 26
- Feb 2025: Daily from 1st Feb onwards until 7th March then our summer timetable starts on 8th March 2025.
