Coniston Launch offers a private charter for you and your loved ones to scatter ashes.
The launch can be hired for an hour and our friendly staff will take you to a place on the lake where you would like to stop and scatter the ashes.
Coniston Water flows into the River Crake which enters Morecambe Bay and the Irish Sea.
When scattering ashes on water it is advisable to use a water urn or scattering tube. Biodegradable water urns have a positive impact on the environment and need to be used on the lake.
There are two types of water urns. The first will float for a short while, so you can say any words or mark the occasion in your own way. The second type of urn sinks immediately, so the specific place of the urns position can be recorded by yourselves. You may also want to cast rose petals or dissolvable notelets which contain messages for your loved one on the water too.
