A classically picturesque retreat serving afternoon teas, snacks and dinner.
This large, comfortable hotel is the only one on Coniston Water with its own lake access. The hotel is available for morning coffees and light lunches.
The jetty is in the grounds of The Coniston Inn (formerly The Waterhead Hotel), being at the end of their garden. It is an easy flat walk to the inn (200yds). There is car parking available at the Inn which is open all day, every day for coffees, teas and delicious pub-style food.
With seven sailings a day calling at the jetty, there is plenty of time to join The Inn Collection Group for some warm and welcoming hospitality and, if you are thinking of staying in the area, 45 comfortable bedrooms with breath-taking views are available. Book direct for the best price by calling 015394 41244.
Just north of the jetty are two boathouses. It was from the stone quay upon which they are built that copper ore from the fells was shipped onto rowing barges and transported to the south of the lake at Nibthwaite.
